October 2010 saw five of us fly to Hanoi. We spent the next 3 weeks touring Northern Vietnam on small motorcycles. We reached the China border in the West, North and East on two separate tours. We covered approx 2000 klms on our little machines (160cc), travelling through small country towns, back roads, dirt tracks, mud rain and the most superb scenery one can see in this country. The people were fantastic. Trip of a life time. Part 1 covers the North and East of Northern Vietnam.
