Preston's Ponderings: This is part three of a continuing short series on the "1000 year millennium," When did the millennium begin, when did it, or will it, end? When we look at the constituent elements that John uses to describe the millennium, we are forced to view the millennium as having begun in the ministry of Jesus and consummating in the first century. One of the keys to determining this is the comparison of Revelation 6 with chapter 20. Excellent stuff here, so pass it on!

Very interesting! But how can it be said those who worshiped not the wild beast, nor received its mark came to life and ruled *for* 1000 years? Surely the Wild Beast ascending out of the sea had a last days fulfillment? If the millennium started post Christ's death, for the saints to rule for that same amount of time, surely them not bowing, or being marked by the Wild Beast, would *have* to have happened before then?

This is a great topic here Don. It was this topic that convinced by after all of the other pieces to the puzzle fitted in that Full Preterism made more sense than all the other eschatology views out there had to offer.

@MrDonPreston I just watched this video again, and I can't believe I didn't see the outrageously blatant comparison between what Jesus said in Matthew 23, about all of the martyrs being vindicated (via the judgment that would befall the Old Covenant Jews of Jesus' contemporary generation) with Revelation 6 and Revelation 20, about the martyrs crying out to be avenged. Jesus surely did say that the vindication of the martyrs would fall upon HIS OWN GENERATION, just as you said here. BOMBSHELL!

Good thought. Another point to mention is that the ones crying from the ground, could also be the same imagery given in the book of Genesis of Abel's blood crying from the ground after Cain murdered him.

The White robes are those who were made pure by the Accomplished Redemption of the cross i.e. ALL those saints from the OT up until the time of Christ that was waiting for the resurrection,These are the ones ruling with Christ for a 1000 years.I think this is what your saying Don.SEE also Mat 27:52 and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints that had fallen asleep were raised;for those who ruled and reigned with Christ.

    Mat 27:53 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
