Water damage restoration repair of a flood damaged home. Wet hardwood floors and wet wallsresulted from a broken washing machine hose on the second floor. Wetting carpet, ceiling, walls, hardwood floors and the basement. Restoration included dryout of all flooded walls and floor surfaces.A large amount of drying equipment was needed to dry out this flooded house. An Emergency Temporary Power- Spider Box was used to supply needed power to run all the water damage drying equipment. • nice set up for the wood floor drying , looks clean and proffesional

  • @silverolascleaning Thank You for the comment. We try to do a neat job when drying hardwood floors. It is important to keep the cords and hoses on the wood floor drying set up clean and neat to avoid tripping hazards. Quite often the home owners will stay in the flooded home if the disruption is not so bad. This saves the home owner headaches and the insurance company money. Makes eveyrbodies life easier during the water damage restoration process. Clay

  • So y did you decide to not remove the base boards, are you not worried of microbial groth. Or was the wallboard behind the base not effected?

  • Thanks for the comment. The walls were affected. Some top down others wicking from spreading and then wicking. We used advanced methods that dried all walls and baseboard areas within 5 days without opening the walls.

  • Thanks for the comment. The washing machine was located on the second floor. The ceilings are wet. The subfloors are being dried from the basement. All materials were back to dry standard in 5 days. Saved all ceilings, walls and floors with no demolition.

  • the airmovers are pointed at the ceiling because it speeds the drying process, more air movement more drying..

  • Family stayed on site, Axials are louder and not homeowner friendly sometimes. dehuhs worked just fine. You need to dry but over drying can cause more damage than the original flood. Experiance makes the difference.

  • So I guess a couple hundred dollars in an power bill spike, versus tens of thousands to demo and replace, it's a no-brainer.

  • I think there are too many Air movers used to dry a washing machine water damage. There is no need to point the Air movers to the ceiling because air should be touching the affected surfaces to remove wet layer and transform it into wet air so the dehumidifiers extract the wet air and so on dry the property. If the floor board is wet what about the sub-floor is it affected if yes that means the floor boards are barriers of drying and should be removed.
