2004 Honda CRV EX. A few months ago started howling in the rear end. Thought it was a wheel bearing - didn't help. Just swapped out the differential - still better but the tear end still has an annoying "whine" to it. What else?!?
Hi, i have the same noise in my 2003 honda cr-v, and the humming starts after 50 km/hr speed, as it appears from ur vdo as well, looks like you got it solved with flipping bearing, i think i will have to head to the mechanic to have it done, any idea how much is the charge if i have to replace the bearing, thanks
Issue was resolved. The machinist who pressed in my bearing into the hub assembly actually put it in backwards. This ruined the new bearing and also caused the ABS not to function. This was something easily avoidable by a careless machinist...or one who didn't really know what they were doing.

Try to change the ABS fuse to see if the light go away

Is it all wheel drive or front wheel drive only? It sounds like the rear wheel bearing.
