On April 25th at around 7pm a small F0 Tornado struck down directly in front of my building. I was in another town when the storm hit so you can imagine my surprise when i returned home and witnessed debris everywhere and the street in complete darkness ..except for the red flashing lights from the police cruisers and fire engines. I grabbed my cam and tried to film as much as i could. Please remember this is not a holywood film so some shots are just terrible and the editing isnt that good either lol. But enjoy ;)

  • How much (estimated or exact or both) in dollars and cents of damage did the F0 cause?

  • @RayRoark2009 i know. i understand where you got that information from. the reason many still mistake it as 70 MPH, is because it took meteorologists almost 48 hours to officially classify it a tornado. for me i knew it was a tornado because the tornado literally began forming right on top of me in the st. laurent parking lot. then as i was leaving the parking lot, streets signs and trees started swirling on the road about 15 feet in front of me. and a street sign nearly flew into my windshield.

  • @ultradumbass I was actually wrong. It was going 78mph.

  • @RayRoark2009 for it to be an official classified tornado winds need to go at 74 MPH. i learned this because i've seen a few weak tornadoes in my life, but i only ever seen a glimpse of a funnel once. but one of those i went through was considered unconfirmed because nobody saw the funnel and because it was said to have gone 70 MPH which is considered too slow for a tornado. if you see a funnel and the winds are under 74 MPH, you are either experiencing a powerful funnel or a cold funnel.

  • @WrestlingJesusTV i didn't see the funnel but i knew where it was when it started. i was at the st. laurent mall when about 15 feet in front of me i saw stuff being tossed and swirling around. as my mom was driving off slowly, a street sign came out of nowhere and almost flew right through our windshield.

  • i actually saw this tornado when it was maturing. i had just left the st. laurent mall after watching slum dog millionaire, and as i was in the parking lot, low clouds suddenly descended right over my head. and a few minutes later as i was out the parking lot, i suddenly saw a gust of wind come out and large tree branches, shrubs, street signs and a bunch of debris started swirling hundreds of feet in the air.

  • @HHHdahman There was one last year at my house back in August and it was 73mph

  • @ralphie2584463

    or 40-73 mph

  • That Tornado would have had to be an F2 for that damage. An F0 would not do any damage except for picking up leaves and some parts of rooftops.

  • 60 to 120 Km/h
