How to make an amv for beginners - Enter Ichigo Mashimaro

Though some of the amv makers that may read this description already know how to make an amv, these are some techniques you can apply when making an amv. You can recognize all these techniques in all my amvs and other people amvs too.

This is intended for people who wants to make his/her first amv and don't know how to begin. After all, the best way to teach how to make an amv is through an amv. Pay attention to this video IF it's your first time you are involved with amvs. Not a tutorial in Sony Vegas, Windows Movie Maker or After Effects, but at least you'll know the secrets behind the greatest amvs. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

This is awesome! I only have one question - from 2:33 to 2:37, how do you make different FULL video clips play at the same time? Whenever I try to do that, the result is that I can only see 1/2 of Video Clip 1 in one corner and 1/2 of Video Clip 2 in the other corner. I don't want to crop them.

nice, all i have left for my first amv is the special fx :D

I have a question, are special fxs necessary? Im making an amv about 5cm/sec and i have it synced to the music well and it has a nice story throughout the amv. It has no special fx atm though.

@AnimeFanaticBoy One more question, on 1:30 how did you get the effect of the duplicate clips? Did you use panning and created a different channel for each clip? Or is it a special effect?
