Sensational 1964 hot rod rock album track. By the way, if you share my philosophy, "never grow up, never grow old," come on over to my blog, Shady Dell Music & Memories at www.shadydell.blogspot.com. See you there!

  • Is the yellow '57 Project X ?

  • @LP61RI That I couldn't tell you. It's been quite a while since I edited that clip, but thanks for watching it and sharing my enjoyment of Jan & Dean!

  • Jan & Dean belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

They created a culture that went beyond music.

They also helped to create that surf sound along with the Beach Boys.

J&D are true legends who had a lot of hits and countless fans.

Some of the acts in the Hall of Fame already did not do what Jan & Dean did.

Throw in the fact that a movie was made about them and you have a duo that made history.

Shame on the Hall of Fame people for overlooking Jan & Dean.

  • "She's 6 years old!" lol The first time I heard this (on a friend's player) I was like "Hey, a 283 is a '57 engine!" Then I heard the rest of the song. Did anyone else do a song about a '57 Chevy? If I had one, I wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING!!!!!!!

  • @LP61RI P don't believe if its the one from Hollywood Knights then no cus I'm pretty sure they kept the bumpers chrome.

  • sfratpack--thanks for putting this one up! A great cut from Jan & Dean's "Drag City" album. There was originally a third verse, but Jan lost the lyrics to it during the sessions--which accounts for the long fade at the end of the song! Jan drove a '57 Chevy Bel-Air back when their careers were first starting...

  • @MrGotsquashed
