The most likely problem is bandwidth.
I am facing similar issues on a T1 pipe. Even with broadband (2 Mbps), you are likely to face issues if there is a bandwidth crunch.
Please wait out the peak period and check once again. I heard the lectures early today and the sound + video was fine.
Time to go T3 or maybe Fibre i suppose!
