Few people would have thought that Square Enix would get into survival horror. They did though. They released Nanashi no Game (the game with no name) a while ago. It blended a 3D scary world with a neat little cursed 8-bit RPG. Now they're making a second game. There are new 8-bit games in it that appear to be cursed 2D platformers. The creepy 3D returns as does the RPG. Sadly, there's little chance for these games in the US. Dumb move Square Enix. Americans are the ones who like survival horror.
This sequel is coming 8-27-09 for Japan.

Sorry to say that you are quite off from the current situation. Squareenix did try to bring the game here by consulting some 'focus group'.. and one of the noteworthy mentions are why they cannot shoot stuff, or why they cant fight at all.
Since it wont be profitable, it was not intended to be english-localized.. and i doubt it will happen anytime soon.

@MexicanVictorHugo I'm afraid not. Very scary games, but they haven't announced a localization at all, so we're kind of screwed in that respect.
