I don't agree, mixing sweet and salty is a staple in many cultures, you find it "wrong" because you're not used to it.
Try opening up to other cuisines, you might actually like it.

With the exception of the roast beef taco, these are very strange food combinations. Putting fruit on sandwiches or using sweet bread just seems so wrong. How about grape jelly on a hamburger or marmalade on pastrami? I think I'll stick with the "boring" sandwiches.
