There must be something about our mountain spring water here in the Ozarks, because we had twin calves again. This is the fifth set of twin calves we had born in the past three years. All of our neighboring farmers are wondering what we are doing to get twin calves. I tell them it must be our spring water they drink.
For me, it means another baby to bottle feed because most cows just don't accept twins. The moma cow will wonder off with the strongest calf and leave the weakest calf to survive on her own.
That's when I step in and rescue the lonely calf. You must get colostrum into the calf during the first few hours to help the calf survive.
Now, you can help. I always name my bottle fed babies and I just can't think of a good name. What do you think I should name here? Tell us in the comment section below.

She took her bottle very eagerly this morning and she had a good dump too!
