The Cure are definitely Goth or at the very least Alt./Indie with a heavy leaning towards Goth. Fat Bob was a member of Siouxsie And The Banshees for a short time and they're definitely Goth. Aye, I'll give you the fact that they often have a more electronic lead sound than most of the other famous Goth bands like the Sisters of Mercy, the Mission et al, but that does not make them a Pop group by any stretch of the imagination.
