Jesus said that you still have to follow all the old testament laws. Including, but not limited to: Stoning gays, non-believers, 'disobedient' children, sacrificing animals, etc.

Which involved not including any of the Books that were available that described women as equally powerful beings. And as far as gay marriage , scholars who have correctly translated Leviticus from it's original Greek say the sins are the idolatry and temple prostitution--not gay sex per se. But even if they wouldn't have approved of gay marriage, they also thought women should leave town during their periods and people who worked on the Sabbath (Saturday) should be stoned. Just saying...

Nice job of pretending to be clueless. "These are all forms of government." The elders mentioned in the Bible were human, just like the governing bodies of all human societies since the beginning of time through today. The Bible contains stories about elders committing sins--so they were not to be considered infallible. And the elders in the Church who decided which books would be Canon chose books that, among other things, consolidated THEIR power and promoted their own prejudices...
