Hi Mark,
Thanks for your video. The heat quit on my 93 MB 190E today, and you've given me a few places to start. Several weeks ago, when I started using the heat this season, there was an occasional clicking sound, then my heat got pretty weak. More recently there's been an occasional whining sound, intermittent but noticeable. And today everything quit. Oddly, there's always a gentle stream of warm air coming out of the side dash vents. Glad for that now. Will try your suggestions.

You have managed to clear up rewiring 74 GMC Sprint heater/ AC fan speed control. Painless kit was less than clear and wiring colors different etc. Thank You. Now I can deal with the vacumn hoses and I'll be done. 14 months to restore. Worth 1/5th what I spent. FUN STUFF!

This summer I thought that the AC went out in my car. However, when I drive at high speeds, the AC blows at high speeds. At low speeds, it works at a low level. The same is true for heat. The faster I drive, the faster the heat comes out. I can still adjust climate control settings and temperature. But the speed varies directly with the speed of the car. Any input?

We recently replaced the dryer and orfices tube and now we have seemed to disconnect something and the air is not blowing throught the vents only through defrost vents...

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Danny V: Some dealer diagnosis will most likely be needed to pin down the problem. Two possibilities would be the blend door control motor that switches the air direction from the defroster to the dash vents. Another possibility would be the control head that sends a signal to the blend door control motor. The Dealer has a scan tool that can interface and test the climate control system.

Hi, I just changed my resistor on my 2000 grand am, the blower motor still only works on high. I did have to tap the blower motor to get it to run for the first time after changing the resistor, it worked for a bit, then shut off. Is this a sign that my blower motor is bad or is there something else i should look at? thanks in advance for your help.

@imru06 Having to tap the blower motor to get it going is a sure sign that the motor is on it's way out. It does not sound (from your description) like replacing it will address your fan speed issues though. That will take some diagnosis.

My blower fan works sometimes. Sometimes it will work fine till I hit a bump and sometimes it just stops working even when the car is in park. What might be the cause of this?

@hieuhn99 Most common causes of the condition you described would be a poor connection or a blower motor on its way out.

@mgittelman I have an 03 Tiburon. One day the blower stopped working completely. No power on any speed. I checked the all the fuses. i checked the relay in the fuse box under the hood. I replaced the motor. Still doesn't work.

@johnnyponny4 Sorry no easy answer for this one it's gonna need old fashioned diagnosis. I would approach the problem by getting a wiring diagram for the blower circuit. I would first check to make sure there is a good ground for the motor. Then start at the blower motor and check for power at the various connectors heading back toward the switch, relay and fuse. There is also a diagnostic tree chart in the factory manual for blower inoperative.
