  • Thank You For Posting This Song On Youtube Love This Song I Grew Up With this song. i love the oldies.

  • albertina voice was too powerful, i can hear her over them all

  • OMG! I can remember this song being sung at choir and singing groups anniversaries back in the day! I can just imagine those female groups with their shimmering gowns and colorful robes and matching shoes. lol Those where the days of "glamor"!

  • Sup Purple Snowman29, Kenny1944 is correct. The Caravans did record " White Cliffs of Dover" 1965 0r 66, 45rpm on Vee Jay Records. Josephine Howard did the lead-in (there'll be), Cassietta George did the verse. The members at that time was Albertina, Josie, Shirley, Cassietta, Delores & James Herndon. In the photo archbish is referring to, the standing members are L to R: Shirley, Inez, Johneron & Delores, sitting, Tina & Eddie. Inez returned in 1965, the year Cassietta left the group in L A.

  • There's a 1962 album

It has the same personel from1961.

    Check it out on youtube

  • Johneron sang with The Caravans from 1953-1957, and again from 1960-1962. She's in the albums photos from 1953, 1954, 1956, 1960 and 1961. The photo of them in the orange dresses in from 1961. Johneron is in the photo between Inez and Delores behind the piano.

  • now i am puzzled. i always thought that the Caravan's Johneron was the singer, standing behind the piano, between inez and shirley. iono. i could be wrong. thank you for pointing this out to me.

  • The Hayes and Laughton gospel discography reference book doesn't show Johneron on any of their recordings between 1956 and 1960. This song is from 1959, she hadn't returned to the group's studio recordings by then. You also don't hear her distinctive soprano on this one, but you can hear Delores. Plus, the album with them in the orange dresses is from 1961.

  • has anyone ever heard, God rest ye merry gentlemen", by the Caravans. yall need to hear this one

  • no cassiettA was not there, johnern was with them at that time this is on the album when they were wearing those orange dresses
