  • Get the HF100 instead. Cheaper, same quality as HF10.

    Built in memory is not convenient anyway, because you'll need cables. Better to use the cartridges and plug them into your card reader or just straight into the laptop if it has a built in card reader, which most of them do now.

    camcorderinfo(dot)com rates the Canon's the highest.

  • If you want to take stills get a digital camera.

  • The actual word camcorder was created by combining Video camera and video recorder. So yes it actually is supposed to take pictures as well.
