'I Raised My Hat'
Roy Fox & His Band (Vocal by Sid Buckman).
Recorded. June 2nd 1933.

.....'And now she belongs to me!!'. All through raising your hat!.Thats the way to find your young Lady, chaps!.Be it a Bowler, Trilby, Homburg, or a humble flat cap - show you are a Gentleman and she will love you for it.

"If you want to get ahead - get a hat!"

"If the hat fits - wear it"

"If you can't fight, wear a big hat"!

This really is Roy Fox & His Band at his 1933 best. The vocal chorus is by Sid Buckman.

  • Smooth and relaxed indeed ... but that is one SWINGIN' ENDING, with a Solid drummer. It's Great Gate !!

  • A smooth and relaxed version, which I have not heard before. Very pleasant vocal - very stylish band.
