Made this up one day in practice on accident and it's worked ever since!

  • Body Lock* not Body Locks, sorry.

  • b7r7u7c7e, watch my video titled "Wrestling (Or MMA) Throws: Over-Under & Body Locks.". I explain another throw I do using this grip around 2:35 I think? -Mike

  • Sorry, that's my fault. I had to edit out the audio bc the camera guy was using profanity (my little brother, go figure). But... The key to keeping the grip I tried to explain around the :42-:45 second mark. You can't keep it if his elbow isn't pushed all the way under your armpit (almost behind your back). You also need very heavy downward pressure with your shoulder on his upper arm. This isn't my go-to takedown from this lock BTW. I usually just use this lock to drag/shuck/snap the man's arm

  • @Dmmartin141 Thanks bro...I finally got this to work but it wasent on this set up. A good friend of mine thats a black belt in Bjj comes down so we can practice on attacting the guard. He shot in for a single and I turned got him in a whizzer with your grip. My submission coach told me it worked cause I wasent thinking about it. I forgot with new moves you got to drill it so it becomes natual to you. You should think about getting into submission wrestling you got a great base.

  • Never seen this grip....I take submission wrestling and everytime ive tried it with the grip they break free. I was pissed cause I loved the grip and when I showed it to the guys in my class they all thought it was cool. Some of the guys in my class are catch wrestlings and the loved the grip, but again its hard to hold on the move. This is coming from a guy with huge hands btw.
