Did you know that almost half of people living with HIV in the UK live in London? But more than one in four don't know they have it because they haven't yet tested?
The Mayor and Annie Lennox, London HIV Ambassador, invite you to an exhibition by legendary fashion photographer Rankin at City Hall that tells the stories of Londoners affected by HIV. 29th November 11.00 - 10 December, 2010 - 17:00
The exhibition and Mayor are calling on Londoners to act aware and join the fight against HIV in the capital.
World AIDS Day is on Wednesday 1 December. To find local events in your area visit: www.worldaidsday.org

  • "And there is a massive dark side." -Anon. 1 month ago.

  • @westendgla just a wee note, us with HIV are victims. yes we all have a choice and yes we ALL make wrong choices. But i didn't want to become HIV positive, but i am. Everyone has an opinion and i just felt a wee bit hurt to think that you feel Annie Lennox should F**k us off to Educate the people who don't have HIV. But you are so very very right to want to educate, And there is a massive dark side. x cheers. x

  • like this if you are unabound by the grace of Annie Lennox

  • @Ectomiel i do understand what's she doing. but she could be addressing this dark side and these people now that she's the ambassador of the london branch. in this country we all have access to health clinics, education and free condoms. it seems like she presents HIV+ people as victims (in africa no doubt most women and children are,i'm sorry for that), but in the UK there are far reaching consequences behind the transmission of hiv. there is a dark side to it that needs to be addressed.

  • @DJGTFO

Are you serious? Really? Grow up.

  • @westendgla

That's not her aim. She wants to bring awareness around to people who may not be fully aware of the consequences of unsafe activity, and she also wants to promote finding a cure or a better prevention for AIDS. What those malicious people do isn't her problem- that's their own moral issue. She can't help that, unfortunately. I share your frustration, believe me.

  • ewww hiv wore how many nigger cock have u ride

  • this is all well and dandy, but what's she doing about those HIV+people who are continuing to practise unsafe sex knowing full well that they risk passing the virus on to people. i have met so many people who are very flippant about this virus. they have the virus, and not only don't they care about their own lives, they also don't care about the lives of other people. how is annie and her organisation targetting these people?

  • there is now information about AIDS that we didn't have before - hivquestions

  • Thank-you for posting this important information for the world. All the best Annie in all you do. Your dedication is amazing.
