Congratulations on the 50th episode of the best thing on the internet. Let's celebrate by launching some of those Jammin' Jets. Why didn't I get one of these? I've never even seen one. Seriously, I'm turning off the computer and I'm going to find me some goddamn Jammin' Jets.

@danfuby But they did have BBS (Bulletin Board System) things at that point. On an unrelated note, many usenet posts from the 1980s still survive to view...now that is a shock.

@dynomitis FFS, OF COURSE it's a commercial for official G.I. Joe's. I can't think of any conceivable reason why you would think otherwise.

These were great! Thanks for giving us all the opportunity to relive our cherished memories!

@80sCommercialVault That reminds me of a few years ago, when the local UPN station ran a commercial for an STD medication between the end of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and the start of Disney's One Too (I was working packing shipments for a small company, and the only stations that came in on the TV in the room was that station and various religious and/or Spanish stations. I watched a lot of latter-day Disney Afternoon that year).
Before they made godawful games, Laughing Joking Numbnuts made some pretty decent toys.

@NinjaGhostScorpion You're right, most LJN games are awful...but I have a soft spot for Jaws on the NES.

Did Will Vinton do those "After These Messages..." commercial bumpers on ABC?!

I don't know for sure, but to me the style of the claymation looks different than Vinton's.
Also: CBS is the parent company of Will Vinton Productions, and CBS aired all of the specials he made, so I think he was attached exclusively to CBS.
