@The1970sInfatuate I have one. It is very had to use. You need to touch things a certain way for it to heat up and it's a bear to worry about when soldering...

Have you seen the commercial for the cool to the touch soldering iron that cools instantly?

I opened mine up and bypassed the silly button thing by soldering the contacts together now the switch turns it on and it stays on its pretty good but I'm pretty sure my warranty is void

hi i want to "stick" wires together..the wires are very thin..like probably size of car taillights bulbs type..so can i use this tool to solder it..i havent done any solder before. So i just touch the tip of solder to the two exposed wires? do u have a video of it? thanks

@lexusfan100 Yes, you would want to heat the wires until you can actually apply the solder so it melts on the wires and not the soldering iron/gun.
