Microsoft Touch Cover uses unique pressure sensing technology which interprets typing as gestures. This means unless you start moving your finger, it will not type anything. This allows you to type 52 Words a minute. Type Cover is like the real keyboard, still thinner, but allows you to go 62 words a minute.

don't upgrade what? A tablet or a computer? The iPad has only been out since 2010, so there isn't much to go on for these tablets. Computers, depending on what company you talking about, are typically replaced every 3 years or so. Some make them last longer, but corporations will keep them 3 years as it is easier to manage and they typically depreciate them over 3 years. consumers sometimes wait longer.

Look here guy.... I simply stated that for LIGHT task or less CPU intensive work its a great tool. I stated that I don't know how many comments ago numerous times. Also even in the Healthcare it comes down to personal preference how they want things to be managed. My doctor has an Ipad, but even he has to put the thing down and switch to a desktop when it comes down to things. ALso, i thought it was pretty well known most don't upgrade after a few years.

to use an iPad as part of a mixing console is an addition, but for doctors and nurses to use an iPad instead of a computer, is a replacement. In taxis, they typically use a specialty tablet that many are in the process of replacing with iPads. Cheaper, easier to deal with, smaller, lighter and easier to use and upgrade after a few years. It depends on various factors. For me, I used to use a laptop, until it got stolen and then I got an ipad, but I replaced my Desktop, which I also had.

I said for SOME things it is a replacement, for other things it's an addition. It all depends on the person/company.

So how do you explain WIndows computer sales are down and Apple desktop sales are up at almost the same rate of decline vs increase? I see people going to Apple Stores dragging in their PCs to get switched all of the time, but the reverse is not as common, I am just talking trends.

Of course people have different levels of being able to predict the future. I predicted that Apple was going to be the stock to invest in, and I thought back in 2000 that MIcrosoft wasn't going to do that much better, when Dell was at $65 /share that it was just going to go down, I also predicted many things that have come true. It just depends on how accurate. Some are more or less accurate. What do you think Bookies and casinos do for sports related bets.

Ipad offers loads of versatility, but at the same time to get that same versatility you have limitations to the hardware. This isn't about some video game or social networking.. it's about productivity. The Ipad and many other tablets (droid/win INCLUDED) are unproductive in MOST(this does no refer to all) cases.

The worst part is every task you named me was simple and to the point task. Checking records and showing presentations are not taxing, but what about content creation? Photoshop, Video Editing, btw( have you actually TRIED using the spreadsheet apps on an iphone or droid device?) Laughable. Yet, let's keep it simple what about simple task such as printing? Hope you have your laptop around, because printer support is far and wide buddy.
