  • i love this distortion patch on the Me-50b. and you just make it sound even more gnarly

  • Awesome.

  • @InanimateKillers

Actually I didn't copy any of bassist, but I did copy many of guitar players. I manly improvised some metal guitar riffs. My aim was to get aggressive sound out of bass guitar, that means you have to play it through Tube preamp to get the low mid boost, and with the metal coin you get most of attack and mid, treble freq., which sounds good and aggressive. I don't like fuzz distortion with lots of bass and treble, like most of bass players have.

  • @gasperstifter If you were into metal, you probably listened to Lamb of God.. John (bassist) uses a pick.

  • @gasperstifter

Honesty, I like that....I'm not a big fan of slap, pop or distortion on a bass.....A good clean tone through a decent amp without a pick is my personal preference...Me not liking something doesn't mean it sucks, it just means that I don't like it...

  • @gnisnot

I think that, muddy bass distortion doesn't sound good and I don't think that Cliff is good bass player. Good bass players always play with fingers, for me in metal music in general, there isn't much to do for a bass player.

When I was 15 I played distortion on bass and even bass distortion should cut through the mix and you should have tube amp and pick, I had best sound with metal coin, when playing distortion. I do not play distortion anymore, I am more in funk slap gospel style.

  • @gasperstifter

If you are trying to sound like Cliff, then you gotta use your fingers...I have never played anything but the bass and never learned or really even tried to use a pick...Why should I, I have five of them right there on my hand...I am also bothered by shitty guitar players turning to the bass.....

  • @gnisnot

It's not the same sound if you play with fingers, try coin and you will get more aggressive sound

  • @gasperstifter ....USE YOUR FINGERS !!!!!.....
