  • If the Holy Spirit and the gospel of Christ doesn't move people to salvation, then nothing will. There's no need for this garbage!

  • Hey. Someone got saved because of a conviction they felt while hearing this song at NewSpring. I don't know about you but PRAISE GOD for that one person!!!!!!!!!!!

Here in Australia it is pretty much impossible to find a good Church where there is sound teaching and the gospel is faithfully preached (as we find it in scripture) without completely turning your back on the Pentecostal Churches because they are literally drowning in false teaching and bad theology.

Have you ever been to a Bible study almost completely made up of believers disenfranchised by these movements? I have. Guess who else is there? Jesus.

  • @dangraphic

Toronto blessing, Latter Rain, Joel's Army, Prosperity gospel, Dominionism blah blah... There's plenty more... you name it, I've seen it. They all claim to be "the move of God", they are all manipulative, they all twist and misapply scripture, a few scumbags get rich while they shipwreck people's faith. They have evolved into the prophetic movement that has produced increasingly blatant false teachers (as if they weren't bad enough), false prophets and false apostles.

  • @Keruaran Careful of calling that which is of the Holy Spirit something not of God.

The Pentecostal movement isn't 'screwed up' any more than any other movement in the Church. I know the revival during which my son, wife and I were saved at was certainly NOT false, not was the teaching false.

  • @Keruaran Glad to hear the LORD got you out of that. God has a tendency to do that with people who have their hearts in the right place =)

Yes indeed. I came out of the really screwed up Pentecostal movements of the 90's with their false revivals and false teachings and can testify that there will be people saved in spite of the antics of these Churches, but they will struggle and flounder in these places. But the Lord who knows all things and is gracious, the good shepard, will lead them elsewhere and out of these places just as He did with me.

  • @Keruaran Good point, guess I hadn't really considered whether or not they actually love Jesus. A scripture that comes to mind is Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge."

  • @killerproctologist88

We can also watch their pastor using course language from the pulpit here on YouTube... So... I'm not sure its a question of whether they understand or not, its a question of do they care, and I don't think they do.

  • do these guys not understand that this song is about ACDC selling their souls to satan?

  • If you want a "seeker sensitive" Church you need to remember one thing: There is only one seeker and that is God.

  • Jesus saved me out of this lifestyle. How wicked to bring this into the "church."
