"For the Life of Me", a 72 minute feature film, tells the story of six adopted adults, all of whom are seeking answers to their past. It's appropriate that the film will premiere in Cleveland, home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as Darryl McDaniels, better known as DMC, artfully captures the plight of adopted citizens in the film when he says: "We never start a book from chapter two. But as adoptees, we start our lives from chapter two. I want to know chapter one."
We all deserve to know who we are. How sad to see the impact of closed adoption records on people who are nearing the end of their life and may die without this knowledge. I can't wait to see your film.
