  • Core, if your church doesn't want to allow gay marriage fine, but I don't see why you should get to decide for the rest of society, that's all.

  • Cori, thanks, I'm not offended. I just don't really understand why people argue against gay people and families. You know, we're not hurting anyone. My dads never hurt anyone else in their life. They don't want to stop straight people from getting married. They were just happy to finally be included. They got married last year before Prop 8 passed in CA.

  • @idas91 And according to several studies, that won't make a difference in lowering their higher rates of psychological problems that they have much more so than the average hetero couple Would you like me to cite them?

  • @idas91 that union is no marriage is a seudo-marriage if you want to use the word marriage ;since Marriage help the couple to became holy and the Bible told us nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor practicing homosexuals will inherit the kingdom of God

  • PLEASE WATCH ' A New Baby for Christmas'

on my channel and see where the social marxists/feminists have led us..

    DEFEND CHRISTMAS-DEFEND THE FAMILY

  • Mike, thanks for your comment. I agree that a relationship between a man and a woman is special, but I just don't agree that it's *more* special than a relationship between a man and a man or a woman and a woman. What matters most is the quality of the relationship, the love and respect and caring that exists between the two people. I don't think someone's gender has anything to do with it.

  • It's not that your family is lacking in love. Parents can love or not love regardless of their sexual orientation.

There's still something special about the relationship between a man and a woman, though. This is true regarding reproduction, neurochemicals like vasopressin and oxytocin, and it's spiritually true.

You mentioned that your family is not inferior. I believe that a straight union is ideal, but I'm glad you have people who love you, which is important & not everyone does.

  • Cori, no, my family's not Catholic. We have a lot of different religious beliefs. I personally am Unitarian Universalist. I find it strange that you don't think the love in my family is real. Why would anyone say that? My parents loved me and cared for me just like any other parents. Sexual orientation doesn't matter. A small child doesn't care whether her parents are gay or straight. All that matters is the love and dedication and commitment that exists between them.

  • Correction, that's actually Aug. 28th.

  • BTW, John Martignoni will be on Catholic Answers Live on Aug. 31st to discuss the topic "Countering the 'Gay' Marriage Agenda". I hope you'll tune in. If your local radio station does not air Catholic Answers Live, the programs are available live and later for download at Catholic(dot)com(forward slash) radio.
