I've seen a hundred U-boat vids here -- been hearing about them all my life. Yet the British and Americans also operated submarines against military and merchant shipping from the Pacific to the Mediterranean. Why do we never hear anything about them? Is it because submarines are considered especially evil and 'sneaky'?

Reality TV in 1941. These films where presented in every german cinema. It sounds like a soccer game in modern times. One thing is obvious they did not like to give in the fact that they killed people. The speech is quite abstract when it comes to that fact. They just say eg "x thousand tons of enemy transport capacity destroyed. They consequently avoid to mention human suffering or death. I think they don´t wanted the german public to feel pity with their "enemies".

If I understood correctly this was a sortie of Kaleu Endrass. The one who serverd under Günther Prien, and then he received command of his own U-Boat.

Ah, the early days of TV propaganda. I wonder if it will be that obvious if we watch the Iraq war "reports" in 50 years

Well, the Waffen-SS had no Uboats. Sorry, my Lovely.

They just belonged to our Kriegsmarine - as still today - And time will again for German honour and freedom....
