On the contrary they teach justice, self-defence and the preservation of a good just society. Read the Tafsir (analysis) of verses of the Qur'an then Insha'Allah you will come to see.

@hrantnano I respect my parents because how they cared for me when I was an infant. I respect women and lower my gaze when I walk out in society, for looking will only increase my wanting, my craving for apposite sex. I must hasten to get married and live in a harmonous + just relationship. You said yourself Islam has good points, study these good points futher and you'll see a vast expanse of what they entail.
