The band's Birthday is in March 1992. SUNRIZE is one of the most popular bulgarian rock bands,with a greate experiance touring Bulgaria and Europe, numerous concerts and festivals ,a lable of true rock and blues sound for Bulgaria. SUNRIZE (previously DAGA - means Rainbow in English) are one of the fundamental rock groups since the 80's (their schooldays) and have been and still are an inspiration to many bands and musicians.
George Marholev is one of the best rock and blues guitarists and singers in the country,also a jazz entertainer, Yassen Dimitrov (with George since the schooldays) is a brilliant hammond organ player and an fabulous singer, Dimitar Semov is a virtuoso,one of the best rock and jazz drummers with an recognizable touch and style and Atanas Atanasov is a powerul bassist,playing with a strong dynamics and feeling of improvisation !
SUNRIZE has reliesed 3 cd's until now- SUNRIZE Happy Spring maxi single,including the band's legendary balled Carry On(recorded with the femail singer Amalia in bulgarien later),the blues original Lonely, a tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughn and the video of the song Floating Restaurant,the album All The Love,that includes SUNRIZE's songs from the 90's till now and a VCD called SUNRIZE...on a July Morning,feat KEN HENSLEY and JOHN LAWTON,that includes the bands S.O.S pilot Bang Bang-No More Tears,their cover of Uriah HEEPS July Morning,3 live versions of songs of S.O.S. and the video of the pilot song All The Love of their previous album ! In 2010 SUNRIZE will tour Bulgaria and Europe with their new double album S.O.S. ! Their tour will be entitled Rock On The Rocks and will include many historiucal cities and monuments thet are situated or conected with rocks! SUNRIZE are also workong on their Rock Opera The Fall Of The Rain,wich is planned to be released in 2011
