Very Well Said. Alcoholism is a demon and I've seen it slowly (sometimes fast) eat up lives of entire families. What a shame it does seem to afflict many of the most talented. You can see in G.R's later pictures how the disease ravaged his health. R.I.P Gerry.

  • @ste123456754 I shit on those shits. One reason,I think, why the "music" are so terrible is because of the rampant P2P file sharing of the 90's.The record companies take revenge and viola!

  • Being Irish and living in Ireland I see the work of the demon alcohol - a much more addictive and destructive drug than most others. I see how this fine artist was destroyed by it. His father from Donegal who was cursed by alcohol beat his talented his son as a child. Whether Gerry turned this early torment into his muse and produced all the Rafferty classics we know and love is a given. Alcohol has a lot to answer for and I am glad that Gerry's last days of torment on earth are over.

  • @enlighten09 you are so right about that.
