Nice to see the old churchyard again. I left family and friends in that graveyard with fond memories of them when I left Blidworth over 20years ago... the place just seems as timeless as yesterday. Thnks for the visit.
Sorry but he could be buried anywhere. Just because someone has stuck the old spire on the ground means nothing. He could be buried in Mansfield for all we know.
They stuck the spire top as a marker because, for generations, the knowledge about Will Scarlet being buried against the original church wall, was handed down.
