@NAEffectiveFighting I am a judo teacher now, and I work out with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu players whenever I can. I find that while my newaza is adequate and I win some/lose some, they definitely have practiced some techniques I haven't seen. I'd like to see a judo series that directly addresses the issue of judoka facing bjj players on the mat. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

@NAEffectiveFighting id expect the teacher to presume the defender knew the common defenses and not just leave himself wide open eg tuck elbows inside knees and keep very low in turtle. If i was going to your seminar id expect to be taugth something bjj doesnt commonly adress, maybe something like dave camarillos fusion of judo and bjj. Also something to throw without geting guard pulled on you first.

@scarred10 Have to say first off, not all to keen that this has been pirated but it is an older vid, so we'll draw a line under it.
I would also like to say that the video does promote what it says on the tin: Basic Armlocks & Strangles.
What I would be interested in is what you as a viewer would like to see as I am about to embark on a new newaza series. Hope to see you on one of the upcoming masterclasses I will be offering.

Neil Adams is a tank and if you don't agree than you have never rolled with him or been in the room with him. Look at his career 2 time Olympic medalist, 5 time European Champ, 4 time World Championship placer. He is a 8th Dan in judo.Yap he sounds like a wuss when you look at that don't he -__- lol

@tyebo87 i was already a black belt in hee il chos tkd (which included grappling sparring)and had wrestled for several years competively when I came across bjj ,myself and a few other lads who had dan grades in judo and jap jujitsu attended seminars, drilled and sparred what we learned and visted another club sporadically(there was 1 school in the country 100 miles away).when you have good posture and motion other techs come easily, you can learn withour direct instruction, lots of guys have .

@scarred10 how do you train with out an instructor? rolling with your mates in your garden or garage using techniques learned from youtube of seminars doesnt count as training for 15 years

@HowToMarket i never even suggested that, the man was and is amazing as a judoka , Ive been to a couple of his seminars myself back in the 80s

@scarred10 This particular video may not have much to offer, but that doesn't mean Neil Adams doesn't. This guy was THE top judoka in his prime. You don't get to that stage by being no good.
