Minor spoiler alert if you've just started watching Gurren Lagann.
If that's not the case:
I was looking for this clip on youtube and I was supremely disappointed that I couldn't find it. So, I decided I'd upload it onto here myself.
The final (alive) words of Kamina from Gurren Lagann, spoken to Simon The Digger in Episode 8.

"Just believe in yourself. Not in the Simon that I believe in, not in the Kamina that you believe in, have faith in the Simon that believes in you."

Truly, words of inspiration.
A BAMF til the end. Kamina, we hardly knew ye.

  • With the intent of avoiding further jackassery, lemme clarify by saying I prefer dubs because that's what I watched for my first anime. And generally I think that's the case. People prefer what they're most familiar with. I find sub voices obnoxious and high pitched, and as far as translations go, I believe subs and dubs have about the same rate of mistranslations. And really, it's all the same.

  • @jaxom Try watching more than 14 seconds before you get all high and mighty about your subs fetish.

  • who cares if its 'seamoan?' the dub is actually pretty fucking good. ive seen a lot of anime and there is much worse out there: bleach and naruto dubs? garbage.

  • @hellpainterx1 Believe it!

    No, he was pretty dead.

Spiritually speaking, I guess he was in everyone's hearts and what not, but physically speaking he was rotting in the ground....

  • @hellpainterx1 Don't be hatin' on Yuri Lowenthal. Oh my god sorry! I just had a bit of a fanboy moment there.

  • I just don't like subs because I would rather be watching the show instead of reading words on the bottom of the screen

  • honestly whats the point of reading subtitles especially for this series when the English voice actors are really really good, you cant even say the jap actors are better because you dont speak Japanese for all you know they could literally by dyslexic retards, i program in c++ all day i dont feel like reading more text on a screen when im trying to relax i want to sit back watch the action and revel in an awesome show.

  • @maccusportugal thats not the point. the point is there are good dubs and there are bad dubs. TTGL dub is good. bleach, naruto, school rumble, soul eater( i personally didnt like it. others do for some reason), and queens blade( not just a bad dub but a bad show in general) just to name a few.

  • @hellpainterx1 lol, you picked the shitiest animes to compare.

  • I generally prefer the original Japanese audio, I find that it tends to have more passion. Some shows however have high quality dubs, like Gurren Laggan and most other Gainax shows amongst others.

There's even the rare series that sounds much better dubbed, like Cowboy Bebop.

  • Why did they prenounce simon as semen?

  • "A true man never dies, even when he's killed."
