To make the inner and outer forms for a 12 part mold to cast a silicone rubber light fixture for a history course on Italian object design I used an ABB IRB-140 and MastercamX3 and X4 with the robotmaster plug-in. The use of MastercamX4 was eventually found necessary in order to allow axes configurations to change within a given toolpath and keep all points within working range of all of the joints and to avoid collisions. An AXYZ CNC router was used to rough all of the parts before finishing with the robot.
