The killing of drug cartel chief Arturo Beltran Leyvan will set off a wave of violence throughout Mexico, as survivors strike back at the government and rival cartels seek to expand their territory, STRATFOR's Fred Burton says.
I think the Mexican government should go back to turning a blind eye onto this only arresting obvious offenders. Why should Mexico have to suffer for the US's benefit of having a little less drugs in their country, which will only end up making drug addicts commit more crimes to get the money for it.
Theres a bigger chance of the US leaving Iraq with its mission accomplished then the Mexican drug cartel War coming to a victorious end. That says alot, probably a decade difference.
Im watining for a big shootout to happen in my city. Since the Beltran Leyva was the ONLY cartel who operated here, and outside the city the whole state is controlled by Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel...They are gonna come and also other cartels to fill in the void, to try and control this city. Fortunatelly the mayor here showed once he is not afraid to act EVEN if its outside the law to get rid of a menace, I hope he shows that again.
Our prayers are with you.
