Apology from Lara Hermanson and Bill Handel for comments made about Armenians and the Armenian Genocide. Their statements were recorded and uploaded on Thursday, June 11, 2009.

The video was requested by a diverse group of eight Armenian-Americans, who met with Handel and KFI management the morning of June 11. Groups represented: The Armenian National Committee (ANC), the United Young Armenians (UYA), the Armenian Youth Federation (AYF), the Glendale City Council (Ara Najarian), and Gary Garabedian, who made the initial complaint to KFI.

  • we r not sitting in our underwear idiot nor do we live in glendale stupid, just accept your all a bunch of incosiderate rude people who dont think before speaking...no one would ever say this about the Holocaust...

  • jacks823:

I was referring to those individuals making hateful and obscene comments about Armenian-Americans. Those entries will be eviscerated.

    Toon Hye es. Calm down.

  • Anonymous & hateful comments will be deleted.

If you'd like to post a video response, face in full view and a graphic indicating who you are, we'll be glad to keep it up.

But, unaccomplished bigots, who are sitting in their underwear at a computer screen, somewhere in Glendale or elsewhere, manifesting their life's failures by engaging in hate speech, won't be allowed to have their anonymous comments see the light of day. Those Free-Speech ramblings are for the Glendale News-Press to print.

  • Khan Tusion's brother is Bill Handel. Wow, great guys. Classic Bros. Blackcrackaddicts for life.

  • Blah, blah, blah. He doesn't really care.

  • so pathetic that this sort of provocateurs are given air, but that is clear too why. as long as this kind of a radio has audience, as long as there are listeners, commercials keeping it, it will be on. and this has nothing to do with freedom of speech or belief. this is an intolerable 'soft crime'.

  • i regret to say that american armenian community handled this impotently. not to mention others. handel was given a star at hollywood walk of fames this june! listeners and ads keep this station, right? now do not keep this channel! boycot it, don,t let it breathe. over one million armenians in california, no? bombard the station with emails, demonstrations. no use nicely asking a dog. one cannot speak latin to a dog.

  • yeah but posting comments is not much help, let's think of something that will make them regret about the apology either. how can we do some damage to them or their reputation? this video was only seen by the Armenians only, and no apology was heard over their show, they even were making fun of the guy who nicely asked for one. what can we do that will make them regret about the comments in the first place and later assure them that we needed no apology at all, and the damage is done!

  • No sincerity here...just tryin' to save their own asses.

  • you are thick lara. no sorries accepted. and the problem is that you most probably will stay that way.

  • don,t forget to include in the above that female... shit is shit. that simple.

  • Find better ways to pay for it bill, apology does not buy you a shit!

  • i'd really like to know that specifically due to his which effort for the Armenian genocide recognition, he calls himself a "champion"?! lol
