Franz Waxman ... Franz Wachsmann nació en 1906 en Alemania para emigrar a Estados Unidos debido a la Segunda Guerra Mundial... ya que era de origen Judío... Comenzó dirigiendo y orquestando " El Ángel Azul".....Su andadura comienza con Films tan magníficos como la versión de Fritz Lang de "Liliom" (1933)..La novia de Frankenstein" (1935)....etc... Lo que le condujo a un contrato de dos años con La Universal....Más tarde se traslado a Hollywood para firma con la MGM..Componiendo la Banda Sonora de "Capitanes intrépidos" Jekyll "Dr. y Mr. Hyde" y "Mujer del Año"..... La carrera de Waxman es realmente extraordinaria...12 Nominaciones a los Oscars.. y ganador de la preciada estatuilla en 1950 por "Sunset Boulevard" y en 1951 por "A Place in the Sun."......Fundador en 1947 de " Waxman Festival Internacional de Música de Los Angeles " ...Murió 24 de febrero 1967, en Los Angeles a la edad de 60 años...Pero nos ha dejado un legado impresionante que nos hace vibrar en cada momento con sus composiciones... llenándonos el corazón de grandes emociones..
