The New Orleans Saints lost to the Green Bay Packers last night because of two bonehead plays. First, Marques Colston had a fumble after his first catch of the game.

Not only was it his first catch of the game, it was the teams' first pass play of the game and the second offensive play of the game for the Saints.

And, did I mention it was the first pass play of the season for the team? C'mom Marques! How bonehead can you get. Hold onto the ball! You gave Aaron Rodgers, who was playing lights out and had the momentum, an easy shot at going in for a touchdown! And the Packers did. The second bonehead play is a kickoff return.

Not any kickoff return. A kickoff return to a rookie, Randall Cobb. And, oh yes, he catches it 8 yards deep in the end zone. And, thanks to the new rule, the Saints kickoff team was standing 5 yards closer to the endzone, at the 35 yard line, when they started their run!. How bonehead can you get? Don't tell me, "Well, Darren Sproles of the Saints returned a punt for a touchdown. . . ."

This was a kickoff from the 30 yard line, not a punt! Punt's always have a chance of some fluke happening with someone running it back! The only bigger bonehead play I can think of this week was me picking the Saints to win outright.
