People bitching about the long count, just watch the video, Buster is fine and very aware of the count, he stays down to rest and makes the count fine because he knows what the count is. If the ref was counting faster, he would have stood up sooner, he was fine. Obviously he was fine because he went on to win the fight by KO 2 rounds later.

They were both down for 14 seconds from the time they hit the mat to when they were upright on their feet. Buster was much more solid and ready to go upon rising though... Tyson looked like a zombie. I think it was called fairly overall.

both men were knocked down for 14 seconds....yes buster couldve got up earliar if needed but he was defo wobbly, tyson may have finnished him with the few seconds that woulda been left....i think the ref needed to learn how to count prob, i do also think that buster would of stuggled to get up in a REAL 10 sec count. and im no tyson fag i h8 the prick im just honest.

@dewy9uk when an excuse is necessary it will be used and the rime thing is true if u new anything about tyson ud no he ent downhill in 88 with his marrige , leaving his trainer and manager and going with that punk don king and not to mention was diagnosed with severe stress so i think he has all the excusses he wants because he has real reason why he lost this a tyson from 1985-88 would beat any other fighter of all time

2 things bother me about this fight. One - when douglas went down the ref waited untill 9 and then stopeed and let the fight carry on - but with Mike he got to the count of nine then just hugged him. Two - Mike wated 2 seconds trying to find hi gum shield. Apart from that, great fight.
