Ecuador's Jefferson Perez walked through searing heat and into the record books when he became the first man to win three successive world 20-kilometer walk titles on Sunday. The 33-year-old, his country's first Olympic champion, collapsed over the line after a grueling one hour, 22 minutes and 20 seconds, his legs twiching with violent cramps. (WCSN, WCSN.com)
