Ecuador's Jefferson Perez walked through searing heat and into the record books when he became the first man to win three successive world 20-kilometer walk titles on Sunday. The 33-year-old, his country's first Olympic champion, collapsed over the line after a grueling one hour, 22 minutes and 20 seconds, his legs twiching with violent cramps. (WCSN, WCSN.com)

  • 12.4 miles in 82 minutes? That's a 6:36 mile 12 times in a row. I doubt some of the people on here could run a 6:36 mile once. It's ridiculous, but insane at the same time.

  • @canabal72994 It is different from running in that one foot must appear to be in contact with the ground at all times. At least visible to the human eye.
