The IMS intelligent weapon system currently under development for the US military is a quantum leap forward in area and perimeter protection, with it's capacity for destruction of both armoured combat vehicles and personnel and the ability to distinguish friendly forces.

I was so happy when I found out the I.M.S. was going to be in MW3.
Haven't used it at all.
I think the military is taking a huge step here in the realm of automated defenses, there are a lot of ways to avoid these but they are definitely innovative and are a gateway to future "intelligent defenses."

Can you imagine if they put wheels on this thing. It would allows them to move mines to different locations or to change their position if enemy forces notices them.
