@broadband0118 that's always been his persona. he was never interested in being the next jim morrison (and i'm quite thankful for that). he said 'hey, i'm attracted to that life of glitz and glamour and one day i want to be a part of it'. and he used his talent and intellect to do so

@newfuckingwave Much as I love this song and indeed, pretty much all of Roxy Music's catalogue, "bryan" is a fucking knob. I think it was his overt social climbing rather than his exposure to American films that turned him into the lounge lizard.

bryan used to accompany his mother when she would deliver free sandwiches to the local film projectionists booth. in turn they would get to see whatever was playing for free. bryan undoubtedly developed his suave persona from early exposure to classic films
