@srdtpa What a stupid question and it is not what I implied. My point is that controlling prices is a lot more the reason why they have interests in the Middle East and Venezuela rather than actual need for oil. That they also import oil from where they can at least in theory could be another question and my bet is that it is another question. I do accept the possibility that I missed something.
