No such need for Porsche. And I can tell you a lot more examples.

In summary, if you are a mechanic and have repaired cars with all kinds of history, you will come to appreciate Porsche's engineers.

You see, different than most other car makers, Porsche has a very robust, established racing operation/business which put their cars into serious test from day 1. Due to such parallelism, the technology you find on their road cars share a lot of the racing grade components.

To give you a solid example, on almost all Japanese sports cars, oil starving during extreme cornering is a big issue. So any serious racer with Jap cars need modification in their oiling to protect the engine

I have to disagree

Your comment would be more true if said against the likes of Ferrari, Lambo, etc.

Porsche's value lies with it's reliability with regard to hard driving conditions. Don't get me wrong, if you just it them as road cars, owning a Porsche definitely would bill you higher in terms of initial cost and repairs.

BUT, if you are someone would does track days every other weekend, and has been doing it for decades(yeah, decades), you will notice the diff

h the reson i lik3e nissan is because they give you the best performance and the best interior for a cheap price. They actually compare this car to the Porsche Camen s, But if you stop and think about it half the price of a Porsche is just the name itself. The Camen Porsche costs about 60,000 grand but it's parts are probably only worth 30,000 grand just like the 370z

i know her. i raced mazda MX5's with her at Laguna Seca. and just to let you know, she actually can race. but she needs some work.  but those car's are nice. i really want to try that S mode
