Tampa Bau Automobile Museum's reporoduction of the Fardier de Cugnot; the world's first self-propelled vehicle. This is a faithful reporoduction of the 18th Century steam carriage, a historically signicant vehicle which was developed in France to transport artillery cannons during a time of war. This video shows that the Fardier works, and it works rather well!
Excellent! Love the sound of the steam chuffing through the cylinders, and the creak of the wood. I'll display this video for my automobile history class.

No way, it was actually used in battle, my uncle mr. rumplestilshmucks told me a story about this battle where the chariots of fire was set upon the man and it was a massacre. He said I wasn't going to read about it in any history book but it was true. He even showed me a photo of the battle, one of the oldest 1700's photos, it ran over the opposing army. Just kidding haha

That is awsome!!!! I have always wanted to see what this engine looks like running, and now I know! It sounds just like I thought it would, this cart was reveloutionary in its day. However it was not actually used in battle, the boiler ran out of steam too quickly. But to see a reproduction running is wonderful! Thanks so much.
