Dan Bonow in Africa! Runnin' Wild

This funky original singer, songwriter and organ player from Seattle went to high school in Nigeria, and in 1996 he made a triumphant return to the Lagos, Nigeria area and was welcomed as a "white reggae sensation!" Reggae is certainly one of his talents but by no means the whole story.

"Runnin' Wild" is an original song of African flavor, here played much the same by this all-Nigerian band as all the other tunes in the set-- same exciting, fast beat, same out-of-tune, twangy guitar, but one thing is clear-- these peoples like this music! He has really re-connected with some of his main roots. Sharpen your ears for a thrilling keyboard solo from Dan. Sorry the sound quality is so bad; this tape was dubbed to PAL by the TV station, dubbed again in the Northwest to NTSC in a somewhat botched process.
