It doesn't get more retro than this :)

FYI: This release does not come with the full movie, which was quite common for Super 8. You see, in order to fit the whole film you would require several 8mm reels and so at this point in time many films were released in abridged versions like this. So basically a bunch of the plot is edited out and only the most important stuff are still in there :P

I remember that cover...we had a VHS copy with the exact same cover back in the early 80's.

I still think that this film has one of the greatest...if no,t THE greatest soundtracks...Tobe Hooper & Wayne Bell....take a bow.

very cool item, must be close to crown jewel in case of collecting tcm-releases, they had those cassette-cases in vhs-tapes too at some point.

Is it the whole film? I know back in the day there was a limit to the length of the film so a lot of films were released in a heavily edited form to be able to fit them on the reel. I have hazy memories of watching Star Wars on super 8 at a friends house when I was a kid, it was only about 30 minutes long and had no sound, but it was the greatest thing ever to be able to watch Star Wars on a projector screen
