Kesarbai Kerkar: Raga Gaud Malhar

Surashri Kesarbai Kerkar (सुरश्री कॆसरबाई कॆरकर) (July 13, 1892 September 16, 1977) was an Indian classical vocalist of the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana. She is considered one of the finest and most powerful Indian classical singers of the 20th century.

@maddybrahms - I would beg to differ in your use of word "ego". The singers of likes of Kesarbai spent their entire life devoting to music treated their voice as their hard earned wealth and ofcourse you don't go on distributing your hard-earned wealth to all and sundry. Besides they did not like the idea that people can hear to it whenever they want it, reverse and forward it.........hope this conveys to you why I object on the word "ego"

Thanks for posting kesharbai's records.She was perhaps the most gifted singer but had the ego not to get her singing recorded on time.can you ost songs of longer durarion.
