Introducing Kayden the African Grey Parrot

Introducing Kayden the African Grey parrot who has learned 6 tricks - he is 8 months old. He was added to our family 3 weeks ago. We have been working with him for the last 2 weeks in the morning and again at night for 5 minute training sessions. Kayden learns quickly. He currently understands 8 words and can speak 2 (whoooooo and hello). We are very proud of Kayden.

They need lots of time and care - 2 hours or more, more is better. Joy, pure joy to live with.

We got Kayden at 7 months old, he is now 8 months old, we have been training him for 2 weeks now. Just 5 minutes sessions 2 times a day. These birds are very smart and need to be challenged daily.

Thanks for viewing, Kayden just turned 8 months old, his eyes give his age away. They begin gray and turn to a yellow at about 1 year.

Thats adorable I just got an African grey myself but hes considerably older, I don't know how old exactly but his former owner had him for at least 6 years. He often squeaks loudly, personaly I couldent care less about the racket but my grandmother is intent on hating the poor lil guy for waking her up early in the morning. I've tried covering his cage at night but to no avail, come morning hes up squeaking away. He only does it morning and late evening how can I train him to quit squeaking?

@AuTuMmRoSeS She was telling the truth look up einstien the African grey they dont talk until they are at least one year of age some of them taking even longer to do so any bird needs a good owner/trainer if you wish to dicate their mimics.

Wow! Hes so cute 5 stars! C'mon! Isn't he just the cutest thing?? I have an African Grey Timneh too =) She talks though no tricks... well we are training her. Nice!

Kayden is a really pretty Grey. My Nikki is now almost 15 years old! I raised her from "chick-hood".. I have a video or two.. I should post them!
