this song has always hurt me i dont see how even being a priest he can just stand by and be so cruel to someone when they need help most

The priest is a little subdued though... he could have been firmer, without being condescending. Gentler, without being too passive.

But at least the counterpoints join up (save for some liberties taken with some notes)
